Automatic or manual: Which system makes more sense?
|
The type of system that makes the most sense for any given application is based primarily upon the budget and convenience level desired. Automatic systems are slightly more expensive, but operate virtually "hands off," thereby allowing the user to simply enjoy the convenience of their generator system during power outages. Conversely, manual systems, while usually slightly less expensive, require the owner to shut down the electrical loads, start the generator, transfer the electrical source, and properly step-in the desired loads. Then, once power is restored, the process must be reversed and repeated.
