Portable versus home standby: What’s the difference?
|
In general, home standby systems are enclosed, weather-resistant, sound-attenuated units that are fully automatic. Therefore, they require no intervention during power failures and subsequent power restoration. Conversely, although occasionally used for home standby-type applications, portable generators do not have enclosures or sound attenuation, are designed for construction site use, and require full manual interaction. There is a vast difference between the two, which can be clearly explained to you by your Leete Generators sales consultant.
